'We grew up being hit with a shoe or stick if we were naughty and that was difficult because there is lots of trauma that builds up. But in some way that helped us to respect our elders. When our kids now are naughty we do the same thing and we think that will help our kids. But it does not it just makes them worse.
From the Play@Home program and the Play Ambassadors I have learnt patience and to find ways of dealing with my children when they are angry. Now they listen because I am polite, and I give them a chance to talk.''
